Welcome

A little bit about us

Amargosa Valley is a quiet rural community tucked into the wide-open Amargosa Desert, between U.S. Highway 95 to the north and the California state line to the south. The community stretches across a large desert area, and a few local roads even cross briefly into California.

Much of the nearby Nevada-California border follows the edge of Death Valley National Park, placing Amargosa Valley close to some of the Southwest’s most beautiful and unique desert scenery. The park boundary extends into Nevada near Beatty, about 30 miles northwest of the valley.

Amargosa Valley is located approximately 88 miles northwest of Las Vegas, 35 miles northwest of Pahrump, 24 miles north of Death Valley Junction, and 30 miles southeast of Beatty. With its open spaces, quiet roads, and convenient location near Death Valley, it offers the peace of small-town desert living while still providing easy access to the surrounding region.
